Ductless Heat Pump System Health Inspection

The inspection addresses indoor units, outdoor operation, filters, coils, blower wheels, condensate management, controls, temperature performance, and visible line system concerns.

1 minute read6 short sections

Every included indoor head is documented

We record the outdoor unit and each included indoor head, including model, serial number, approximate age, location, and unit style.

Every remote or wall controller is checked, and we confirm that each head and the outdoor unit respond when commanded.

Indoor airflow and condition

Each washable filter, cabinet, blower wheel, blower motor, control board, wiring, coil, fan speed, and louver is inspected.

We look for dirt, wear, noise, corrosion, looseness, damaged insulation, and signs of refrigerant oil that can affect performance or future service needs.

Drainage and zone performance

Each drain pan, drain line, and condensate pump is inspected when present.

Supply-to-return temperature differences are measured at each head in the operating mode appropriate for the current conditions so the report reflects how each zone is actually performing.

Outdoor unit and refrigerant circuit

We inspect the disconnect, electrical whip, wiring, control board, surge protection, refrigerant tubing, line insulation, service valves, flare connections, outdoor coil, fan, cabinet, and airflow clearance.

Reversing-valve operation, refrigerant pressure, and overall refrigerant performance are evaluated in the mode suited to the weather.

Cleaning included with the inspection

Included routine care covers washing each reusable filter, cleaning accessible indoor-head housings, treating drain pans, flushing and verifying drain lines, and cleaning a condensate pump when present and needed.

Lightly soiled indoor coils may receive an appropriate no-rinse cleaner; the outdoor coil, accessible housing, and fan blade are water-washed as conditions allow.

Clear findings and scope

We reassemble the system, confirm normal operation, and document the condition of each zone and the shared outdoor unit.

Deep cleaning of impacted indoor coils or blower wheels, refrigerant leak searches, repairs, and other work beyond the inspection are separately quoted.
